L&L Electronics is proud to partner with Derecktor’s Shipyards and a new vessel agreement with SoundWaters, a Stamford, Connecticut, nonprofit dedicated to environmental education and Long Island Sound stewardship. Designed with Chartwell Marine, a pioneer in next-generation vessel design, the new purpose-built research and education platform will expand SoundWaters’ hands-on marine science programming to thousands of students across the region. R/V Brewer is a 50′ × 23′ aluminum research catamaran named for Jack Brewer, founder of Brewers Marinas. Designed with Chartwell Marine, the vessel combines proven performance with a flexible educational layout optimized for data collection, onboard learning, and passenger safety. Construction will take place at Derecktor’s New York yard, underscoring our commitment to innovative, American-built vessels that strengthen local marine science and education.
L&L Electronics will install and integrate a Garmin navigation and electronics package.
